Ibises and spoonbills

Black Headed Ibis

The Threskiornithidae is a family unit of big earthly and wading birds which includes the ibises and spoonbills. They have extended, wide wings with 11 main and regarding 20 minor feathers. They are physically powerful flyer and in spite of their dimension and weight, very able soarers. There are 36 types worldwide and 2 types which occur in Bangladesh.
